Linear DC Power Supplies
Matsusada Precision's linear DC power supplies are engineered for applications requiring ultra-low ripple noise and high stability. Unlike switching power supplies, linear regulators provide an exceptionally clean output, making them indispensable for sensitive research, precision analog circuit testing, and sensor calibration. Matsusada's linear series combines this superior signal purity with fast transient response and high reliability. While linear power supplies typically require robust thermal management, our designs are optimized for efficient heat dissipation, ensuring stable operation in a compact benchtop form factor.
- Matsusada offers two distinctive lines of high-accuracy linear benchtop DC power supplies:
-
• R4G/R4GN Series (High Power & Resolution): With output power ranging from 12 W to 180 W, these series are versatile solutions for a wide range of laboratory applications. Available in both positive and negative polarity models, they feature high-resolution settings for precise, noise-free output control.
• R4GT Series (Compact & Programmable): Designed for low-power precision requiring currents as low as 0.1 W to 7.2 W, the R4GT series is lightweight and fully programmable. It offers fine current control with 10 μA resolution, along with standard pulse and ramp sequence functions.
While switching power supplies focus on efficiency and miniaturization, linear DC power supplies are chosen for their superior signal integrity. By eliminating high-frequency switching noise, they provide the cleanest possible power for sensitive electronics, RF circuits, and biomedical instrumentation. Although linear architectures inherently dissipate power as heat, Matsusada incorporates quiet, high-efficiency cooling systems (including intelligent fan control on higher-power models) to maintain performance without distraction. The result is a robust, fast-response power supply ideal for demanding industrial and R&D environments.
