In a positive common power supply, the common terminal for analog remote control is internally connected to the positive output terminal. As a result, the control common shares the potential of the positive output.
When using analog control signals (e.g., Vcon, Icon, Vmoni, Imoni), the external controller's common terminal must remain floating and must not be connected to ground.
If the power supply's negative output is grounded (to provide a positive voltage), grounding the remote control common creates a direct short circuit across the output. This can severely damage the power supply and the external control circuit. Always ensure the control circuit is electrically isolated from the ground.
